Playing Hollow Lantern without ruining it
Hollow Lantern is the kind of game a walkthrough can quietly ruin, so we're keeping this vague on purpose. Most stuck moments come from missing something small, not from a puzzle being unfair.
Our biggest tip: use the lantern more than you think you should. It reveals things not just on walls but on the ground and ceiling. Sweep it slowly across every room before moving on.
If a door won't open, the answer is almost always nearby. This game rarely asks you to backtrack across the whole map. Stay in the area and look for a detail you skimmed past.
And take your time. We rushed our first hour and got frustrated; the second playthrough, going slow, was one of the most relaxing gaming evenings we've had all year.
